Boy, it has been a long time since I have been able to take some time to update things here at The Little Place. My granddaughter is now 9 months old and adorable, but the biggest blessing in my life is my husband Leon who received a lung transplant on August 26th and is doing extremely well thanks to wonderful doctors and nurses at the University of Pennsylvania and the many prayers from family and friends. Leon now has a new lease on life and we are very grateful.
This may excuse me from my lack of posting and attention to my blog and my stamping. Life calls and we must answer....my love of stamping will always be there when I have the time, but we can not go back and make up time lost with people!! So on that note I will share the Christmas cards that I was able to get done during the many hours of waiting for my husbands appointments, therapy and tests.
Living in an old house with a weathered front door with a window made this a perfect image to use with the saying "From our house to yours". This is a beautiful stamp set from Our Daily Bread Stamps. I colored it with my Copic markers and used Stampin Up papers to complete the card. I actually added the cherry cobbler dots on the old olive designer paper to give it a little more pop. I also used a silver metallic pen to highlight the door handle.
Couldn't pass up a chance to share a cute little Christmas picture of my Granddaughters, Letty and Titania.
